After last year's showing when the Circus took first place at the Andrewsfield Quiz Night, thus breaking the grip of the Gardners, the circus went for broke this year and fielded two teams. Some may have thought this foolish, bearing in mind that Steve, with his infinite knowledge of fuel grades and delivery mechanisms was on holiday. Did the circus really have the depth to avoid disgrace?

You bet they did! A Circus one-two left the assembled throng amazed. Too stunned even for the traditional boos and cries for a recount.

Those that should be proud of their achievements were:

Team A: Wingco Steve, Lyndsay, Shane, Kim, Richard and Angie (who got the deciding question)
Team B: Peter, Thelma, Rob, Nick, Diarmuid and Sue.
